There are many communities related to Southeast Asian affairs or international conferences and symposiums on Southeast Asia at Wenzao, in which students can participate. For instance, the Southeast Asian academic advising team consists of more than 6 faculty members with Southeast Asian nationalities, who provide the faculty and students with first-hand observation and consultation on Southeast Asian affairs on an irregular basis. Also, Wenzao Indonesian and Vietnamese Culture Clubs consist of approximately 40 Indonesian and Vietnamese students, respectively; they hold on-campus events or achievement presentations on an irregular basis to allow participants to experience Southeast Asian culture.

Wenzao has been organizing large international conferences on Southeast Asia every autumn since 2017, to which scholars from Southeast Asian countries have been attracted and in which they have had discussions with the faculty and students. Wenzao continues to work with these scholars on publishing monographs or papers on Southeast Asia in English. Moreover, Wenzao has been actively in contact with Taiwanese businessmen in Southeast Asia since 2015. By cooperating with the Kaohsiung-Southeast Asia Industry and Academic Exchange Association, Wenzao has successfully held more than 10 workshops for Taiwanese businessmen in Southeast Asia in the past few years, leading its faculty and students to visit Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and Cambodia for in-depth research.
